Intel® 82578DC Gigabit Ethernet Connection installs network drivers. Its Controller is available new Intel boards that are based on the Intel 5 and 6 Series chipset. "Gigabit Ethernet" describes various devices that transmit Ethernet frames (a data packet size) at the rate of one gigabit per second.
Although Windows7 comes with drivers for some Intel boards, this driver must be installed to access your network device.
